During this past month, the Lord has really been teaching me a lot about Himself and His everlasting love. He is truly the only one I can run to and He is my ultimate comforter. He has really been teaching me to rely on Him-through everything. I can do nothing in my own strength. I have definitely struggled with stress and anxiety over school and grades, but the Lord is freeing me from that. He has really been making me aware of the times when that past trend starts to emerge again in my everyday life. The Lord is truly amazing. Trusting in Him daily is what really gets me through.
As some of you may already know, my brother was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. This has radically changed our lifestyle at home. We all must be more conscious of him and his well-being. Through this struggle, I have really become passionate about helping children with diabetes. I want to research the cause of the random onset and I really want to use that knowledge to be able to help other people. I think God allowed this to happen for a reason. My whole life I thought I was going to be a surgeon, but maybe now He is redirecting my passions for the future. I really want to trust Him with everything and just give Him my life to use it as He pleases. I desire to glorify Him in everything I do. One of my favorite verses recently is "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4. I just pray that in delighting Him in my life, that my ultimate desires would be to further His kingdom and His name...not my own. Because only He is worthy of all praise!!!

A New Year, A New Beginning
Wow! I just got home from Passion 2011. The Lord is so incredible! I am so blessed to have to opportunity to love Him with all my heart! He is the ultimate redeemer, restorer, lover, comforter, cherisher, Father, Savior, servant, and example for us. Everything He does serves a purpose! I am so thankful that I have Him in my heart. That I have given EVERYTHING to Him in order to GAIN His freedom and to glorify Him in all things.
In Romans 12:2 it says, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." The Lord has truly renewed me this past week. I have been struggling with pain and heartbreak as well as my own inadequacy. I strive to be perfect, to fix my own problems and I can't do anything without Him. Instead of trying again and again and still failing I have learned that I need to run to Him. Arms open wide. Heart abandoned. Just fall on my knees and give it all to Him. He is the only Way. The only answer.
I have really grown to love the song "Forever Reign" by Hillsong because it sums up everything I feel towards the Lord. His sanctification and glorification, not mine. So here are the lyrics and the inspiration for the title of my blog...
